Is there anyone out there connecting their iBook/iMac using the new
base stations with @cox.net? I have a few questions if there is
someone who has done this.

My new iBook hasn't arrived, so I'm trying to use my old iBook (OS
9). It shows that there is a signal, but I cannot connect. (I ran
the assistant...did not install the newer software as I wasn't sure
how that would impact this iBook getting a signal at work...will it
affect that...as that is the older base station?)

The help at the Apple Store (where I placed my order on line) assured
me that it would be a matter of plugging the cable modem into the
base station...and connecting via the tcp/ip airport. (Nothing extra
would be needed.)

So...as I said, I'm on my older iBook...which connects at work to the
older base stations. Will the new iBook with OS X connect?

I hope my question makes sense to those who have this set up in their
homes! (Cox will not help my questions and referred me to Apple.)

Thanks,
Ellen
