Try disconnecting all external devices such as USB hubs, scanner, printer etc except for the original USB keyboard and mouse. If you also have a SCSI card installed than also all SCSI devices. And if you've got an Harmoni upgrade card and have something connected to the FireWire port than disconnect that too. Can't think of something else.
