Brian, have you seen the May 2002 issue of Mac Home Journal? There is 
an article on page 40 that discusses document filings in OS 10. As 
for manually moving application folders into the Application Folder, 
I've done this all the time in OS 9 with no problems other than 
having to re-target any alias that was made prior to the move.
