It is certainly interesting looking and the screen size would be excellent..I just don't like the style but then looks are definitely not the most important feature of a computer. It is what's "under the hood" that really defines the value of a computer and as usual, Apple has done well in this department. > Apple is > offering them to the education market only though, which I think is > absolutely stupid. A glorified UNIX terminal!!! :-) > I agree...that is a stupid move. Why narrow your customer base when you are going so strong in so many areas ? I am sure these eMacs would be snapped up by many professionals in various fields, in addition to just the average consumer who wants a larger screen and all-in-one type of computer with all these features. Unless of course this is a deliberate marketing strategy on Apple's behalf - to whet the appetites of those for whom this computer is not available (non-education types) and then make it available a few months down the road and cause a buying frenzy because the buyers think the supply will diminish rapidly. Look at the waiting lists for the new flat panel imacs ! Many people were paying in advance for something they wouldn't be able to get for 2-3 months.
