She might have to move aside the foamlike material to see the pinhole opening. A paper clip really does work with this. Has she tried rebooting? Sometimes just the act of rebooting will eject the disk or may remount the cd and allow a regular ejection. Or rebooting while continuously holding down the mouse button.
