Very well, my friend, I did just that. I closed both Netscape and Explorer, went into
the Help menu, typed How do I use my DVD, hit enter, and up came
the answer in a nice, clear, crisp text. I have the middle flat panel iMac, running
9.2.2 and 10.1.5 and have used it every day for several hours for
the past three weeks, since I got it. Prior to that I had the 400 DVD iMac, for three
years, and many many other Macs over the years. I use my
computer for everything from doing recipes on the Chile-Head list, to doing my banking
and investing. I do all correspondence on this flat panel, with
no problem whatsoever. I would suggest to you sir, that you return your iMac to your
dealer and have them check it out, for you may have a problem
with that particular LCD. Perhaps it was made on a bad day in Taiwan! Cheers, Doug in
BC
