OK - a few things to check. You do have the actual SC740 plugin, correct? Next, have you run the printer utility?
Also, (and please don't take this wrong. I know someone with a great deal of Mac experience who was confounded by a printer problem because he didn't check the obvious) do you have ink in both cartridges?
