Sheesh! >> What brand and model of burner are you using.... perhaps I missed it but I know I've got a Philips CDD2000 on my 72/7300 and I read up about it on the web.... found that a class action lawsuit had been filed over that particular model... this was all part of the troubleshooting procedure..... then I switched to memorex cd's instead of Staples ones and the problem went away :) though I have found out all kinds of things to do including replacing a spring whenever it actually goes bad ;D. the short of it.... media counts.... especially if yer burner isn't the newest and greatest....
