Does it need to be > forced? > > Thanks. :-) There are 4 screws to remove, 2 short ones by the tilt foot at the front, then 2 long screws under the video connector cover, the outer 2. With the iMac upside down, lift the base from the rear, pulling towards the front. As with yours, some are more securely held at the front. The clips will release with a 'snap', do not worry.
