I just downloaded IE 5.1.5 today and it runs (ran) fine. However, when I then went to use word 2001 (Service Release 1), I noticed that it installed an extension called "MS Internet Library (PPC)" when I launched it. That seemed odd but Word functioned okay. Alas, when I later tried to launch IE 5.1.5 again, it said "An error occurred loading the "MS Internet Library (PPC)" library. Re-installing should solve the problem." and it would not run.
I reloaded IE 5.1.5 and solved the problem. However, the next time I ran Word 2001, it once again loaded it's "MS Internet Library (PPC)" when I launched it and then Word worked great. Guess what happened the next time I tried to launch IE 5.1.5? You guessed it - same error message. Its kind of like two kids that don't play well together. How could MS not know about this? I must be doing something wrong. BTW, I launched IE 5.0 at the point where 5.1.5 would not launch at 5.0 worked fine. Suggestions?
