Hi Amber...put whichever operationg system disk in and restart holding C and then go 
to utilities, then to drive set up, choose initialization
options, and choose "write zeros" This will take awhile, but it leaves the hard drive 
completely empty. You can do this twice if you wish, but I have
found once to be sufficient. Then go ahead and do a clean install of the operating 
system,from that disk, plus whatever other software you wish to let
