Working merrily along and the screen freezes. >From past experience know darn well all the "easy" fixes simply don't work, at least with my particular iMac. So hit control option apple and esc key. Up pops the screen "Setup Info Dispatcher is invalid"
with the cute little ticking bomb. Neither Sad Macs and Bombs nor MacWorld Mac Secrets books tell me what the Setup Info Dispatcher is or isn't or what it does or doesn't. Incidentally the freeze happens only with just one program. Happens with Netscape 4.79. Now to go one step further, have used iCab in lieu of Netscape, however find the numerous choices under preferences all a bit daunting. To "assume" (yes I know what it means) the user of iCab knows what they want to use is just a bit disconcerting. Bryce Lee Burlington, Ontario Canada eh?
