With all due respect, is it just me, or do these comments strike anyone
else as a little juvenile...?

For the record, yes Mac OS X and Windows XP share a look to their
interface to a degree, but also for the record, it was MAC OS X that
created the Aqua interface first. The similarity of Windows XP was the
result of MAC OS X'S look, not the other way around.

Run OS 9. The 17" iMac comes with it for Classic compatibility. If
you're that dead set against Aqua, you can always fall back on Mac OS 9
entirely. You can even wipe the whole hard drive and install OS 9 ONLY
if you have a mind to do so.

Mind you, if you do that, you'll miss out on all the advanced goodies
and bulletproof stability of OS X, all over purely cosmetic issues...

Like I've said before, maybe you should try being more open to new
things. New isn't always better, but it isn't always the same or worse,
either. New things can be better, but you'll never know either way
until you give them a fair chance. :)
