If you're running OS 7-9.1, you can try Virtual Desktop 1.9.5. I think it worked differently - if Virtual Desktop above had several distinct "pages" or "rooms" and let you click from page to page (like I've seen on Sun's Solaris OS), this other one scrolled around a large desktop where you were seeing one part of it at any time.
