This is not a continuation of my previous post, where I am asking for advice
to record myself reading, then burn to CD. This is just a comment on OCR.
We recently bought a Microtek ScanMaker 4900, simply because there were only
two Mac-compatible choices that day. The OCR feature is wonderful and
fairly accurate. It even converts two columns of print into one continuous
text. Of course, we found out today that it really can't make heads or
tails of an insurance form that was faxed (crooked) to us. But I am very
impressed.
