Totally depends upon the maker of the FW enclosure...I have a Rev. B 
with a Harmoni too, along with a generic FW enclosure from OWC with a 
60 gig drive in it. It showed up automatically in OS X, but it needed a 
special extension (came w/a disc with the drive enclosure) to be 
mounted in 9.

I'm not sure why this was the case. But did your enclosure come with an 
install disk?
