The question is whether paying an extra $100 (or $200 if you buy two)
is worth the 1% - 3% speed increase over 256MB. That is something
each of us must decide.

Unfortunately, that is a trial-and-error question. Each machine
reacts differently to different RAM. For example, my Rev B has two
256MB modules and it recognizes both so I have 512MB available.
However, others have reported putting a larger module in the lower
slot and the iMac only recognizing half the amount on it. Is it the
module or is it the computer? I have the Sonnett HARMONi upgrade in
my Rev B; does that affect how much memory will be recognized?

You want to go with a reputable vendor such as Crucial, Data Memory
Systems or Small Dog no matter what you decide however.

Sincerely,
Dennis
