Les, iForce was out long before Sonnet's, AND with iForce you had to send the original
motherboard back to PowerLogix. P/L did / does not have firewire, and it costs more
than the Sonnet.

I bought one of the first iForce G3/400s for my rev A iMac (233mHz) right after they
came out. Boy-O-Boy what a difference! I mean it's only 167mHz difference, but its
night & day in performance.

I also have 2-256 ram, however I only have 384 useable - that sux :-( .

So now, PowerLogix G3/500 & Sonnet G3/500 & 600's are out. P/L is still more
expensive than Sonnet's AND you DON'T GET FIREWIRE!!!

Go figure...

Wow! I see a lot of people are installing CPU upgrades in their iMacs.

Has there been a recent comparison between:
- Sonnet HARMONi G3 500MHz
- PowerLogix iForce G4 500MHz
where factors like max memory capacity, speed & performance, ports
(FireWire, etc), compatibility, ease-of-install, etc lined up.

I see a lot of references to HARMONi but not that many for iForce. I
would have figured that a G4 upgrade would be more popular than a G3. Is
it because the HARMONi has a FireWire port and iForce does not? - That
would definitely convince me. Is there anything else here I am missing?
