Yep, this has been happening to me and several other people for MONTHS. It is a problem with the list server. Until the mailing lists are moved to a new server, the best thing to do is just set up a filter in your email program to identify the annoying "confirmation request" emails, mark them as read, and move them to the trash.
They always have the same subject line, with the same confirmation number, so setting up a filter by subject line is very easy. Here's a screenshot of my filter setup, on outlook express 5. You'll need to make sure that your filter matches the subject line of the messages YOU'RE getting, not the one's I'M getting, since that would be silly: http://members.cox.net/jdteffer/filter.gif -John > From: Sherri Locker <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > > It happened to me to upon posting recently -- it appears to happen only > when one _posts_ to the list. > > On Wednesday, September 18, 2002, at 12:29 PM, R.A.
