I am having terrible luck today with memory.
I inserted a PC100 SDRAM 256MB CL2 SODIMM into each socket BUT only 128MB is recognized in each socket !!! Oh how absolutely disappointing! Apple Has anyone encountered this before... and maybe have some advice/recommendations?!?!?! iMac Rev:D 333MHz Tray Loading (M7389LL/A), Open Firmware 3.0.f2, OS X 10.1.5 Meanwhile I will check out these SODIMMs in more detail. They were not the expensive kind, but I can't believe the iMac hardware is that picky - I have not had problems with memory before. If anyone is interested... I got these in Akihabara (eastern Tokyo) for about 5,580Yen each ($44.64 @125Yen/$1). I hope I have better luck with the hard disk I bought for this machine... an IBM Deskstar 120GB harddrive for 17,830 Yen ($142.64 @ 125Yen/$1). - May the iMac gods look with favor upon helpless me...
