Juelie, I will point out that what I am about to suggest is purely what I have heard from others without any 'hard' evidence but...
- the Oxford 911 firewire chipset is the best, check what chipset your potential drives have. - If you can find a review on these drives check what the ACTUAL transfer rate is. Supposedly the actual rate can vary immensely and rarely reaches the 400Mbps maximum. Having said that, I have a 40Gb (5400 rpm) Maxtor firewire drive (no idea on ths chipset) and it's great as an external drive...then again, I'm easily pleased.
