Gee, I have never seen the list so quiet, or are there server problems?

Anyway, I've been playing around with Virtual PC 5 with Windoze 98 in
X. I cannot get it to be connected to the internet in any way. Not
via the recommended shared networking or virtual switch, where one
connects in the Mac and opens a browser in the PC. When trying to set
up an account in windows, it autodetects my modem as something
generic-sounding but says there's a "hardware problem" when trying to
use it. I've tried selecting other modems (no Apple on the list of
course, so I've chosen various 56K and Hayes models) but always get the
same hardware message.

If I could do it on a bondi with VPC 1 3 years ago, there's got to be a
way to do it now!

Karen
