The last of the great but small screened G3 iMacs with the hefty 700 mhz spec (Graphite and Snow only) were cited as having unfriendly install cds by reviewers. Apparently whether you're installing or trying to restore, there's no option to install by application. If you need to reinstall one application, there's no way to say, just reinstall AppleWorks. You have to install the OS again. I bought the previous generation G3 (Dalmatian/FlowerPower) but work in OS X, so I never tested this on this model, but it might well be the same issue with the psychedelic iMacs. By the way, anyone see the Tony Hawk "Switch" ad? Apple featured the coolest celeb possible (all things being relative and subjective) amid the civilians! Donald
