All Mac browsers let you do this easily enough. I'm using IE 5.2.2 and Mail.app. Unfortunately, Windows browsers tend to choke on web addresses in email that don't start with http:// but if you're just sending messages to other Mac users, be assured that (at least in OS X and I assume in OS 9 as well) the links are displayed properly. Then again, I seem to remember OE/Entourage having some sort of problem displaying links properly on the Mac, so you may be right about that at least. But pardon my ignorance--I used Entourage daily for almost a year until I tried Mail and in my opinion it's just a more streamlined, useable app. Entourage throws tons of stuff in that you honestly THINK you need (that I ridiculed Mail.app for not having) but what I've found is that in all honesty 90% of the features of Entourage are completely useless! I did enjoy its auto-correct, however. And the calendar is still better than iCal (well, duh) but any of you who are thinking Mail.app isn't powerful enough need to check out the blazing-fast "across all mailboxes" searching, the Junk Mail filter, the simplicity and ease-of-use of the client itself, and the much nicer-looking quote system. Address Book got vastly improved in Jaguar--it's finally worth using! :)
Anyway, that's the end of my rant. > > Despite all of the links you've probably seen throughout this message, > this message is STILL nothing more than plain vanilla ASCII text.
