Upgrade to OS 9.2.2 it is much faster than 9.0.4

1. Replace your hard drive with something larger, you're clearly
outgrowing it. Or maybe it's time to think about upgrading the machine
entirely.

2. Try running other browsers such as Mozilla or Opera. Be sure to
manually allocate them LOTS of RAM (like 60MB or what the heck 100MB!)

Chas I have agreed with your past advice but this one about the hard drive I
have to disagree totally. Since when does the hard drive have to do with
internet speed. He clearly stated he has 2.5 gigs left. That is PLENTY.

I am running with 800 megs left on my 10 gig and my connection with dsl fly
with the one exception being Ebay.

The other browsers will help compared to Netscape and IE but the original OP
certainly doesn't need to get a new harddrive or Mac.

Charles try the other including Netscape and IE with all their memory bumped
up. Change the ram disk size to 0 in the preferences of the browsers, DSL
etc connections actually load pages faster with the Cache setting at 0. For
56k modems make a ram disk on the desktop and assign it to the browser
cache's in your preferences.

There are a host of other twinking to do but buying a new drive or mac is
the last resort.

Also remember Ebay will slow any browser down.
