AFAIK, you can't. DVD Playback doesn't only require a DVD capable drive, it requires a video card with MPEG-2 decoding (even "software" decoding players need specific graphics cards to work; replace a DV iMac's logic board with a non-DV logic board, and you'll find that DVD Player stops working, even though it's a "software" decoding machine). > I heard that Apple's software (DVD Player & iDVD) only work with DVD > drives that Apple shipped. Is this true? iDVD only works with Apple's internal SuperDrives. I think I've seen hacks around the net to work iDVD with external drives, but I don't recall where and am always dubious of "hacks".
