Was wandering around the local high-priced office supply shop the 
other evening...

Noticed two types of  USB cables, one marked USB2 and the standard cables.

In the plastic wrapping I couldn't tell the difference...

so how does one tell the difference if any and can the cables be used
interchangably?

And is there that much of a difference between USB 1 (or not marked)  and
USB2?

Suspect those on Prehistoric Computer bandwagon
probably are on to the advantages of the USB connection system, 
but then they'll never equal a  Mac, not in a million years!
