Possibly Eudora was confused by a badly encoded message (spammers often use custom mailers that may not follow the spec, partly to avoid filtering) that made it confuse the end of one message and the beginning of another. Try moving that message to a new mailbox, compacting, and see what happens. You can then poke around in the new mailbox with a text editor, like BBedit (while Eudora is shut down) and possibly fix it. (I've done that when a message had some binary characters in the middle that they shouldn't have). If you leave messages on the server (I do for several days before they're deleted) you could try accessing your mailbox another way, such as from http://www.mail2web.com and see what it makes of the message. -- The iMac List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
