Further... James Baker sent me some ideas, and so did others... one was to use a URL to a website hosted by my ISP; however how would store the file? There still might be a problem of translation.
In any event suspect it is how I send out my attachments... As an attachment, an image is identified as a Picture View Document as to Encoding there is: Smart (auto-detect) is default, Then AppleDouble (as another choice) BinHex (Macintosh) (choice 3) Base 64 (Windows) (choice 4) UUencode (Unix) (choice 5) Question is, which one should one use, not knowing what kind of system recipients are using... Oh and PictureViewer assumes by dint of its software that "we" all all want to use our Imacs to watch movies, DVD's and similar... Not me, nor do I care about such things ... If it was my choice QuickTime/Picture Viewer would be trashed forever.. Too many options :>( There has to be a simple UNIVERSAL viewing program out there Any ideas? Presently using PowerMail for e-mail, and netscape 4.79 (Most stable so far) for browsing... Moderator...if this is off topic please advise...
