Here's an easy question, I feel sure. My tray-loading CD on the iMac Rev D
has never really been up-to-snuff (stutters and stops), and I attached an
external Iomega CD Drive/Burner by USB connection. When I insert CERTAIN CDs
(such as game CDs), the Iomega loads and operates just fine without
restarting. However, when I load MUSIC CDs, I get no sound at all---even
though the CD icon appears on my screen and the Apple CD Player loads. No
music at all. Then, when I reboot my Rev D, it plays the external CD
automatically, and Apple CD Player is fully functional. Why is the Iomega
only playing music on restart?
