Coincidentally I just posted this to another list. Not your phone, not your machine and you provide no details of what your setup is, but this may help: Yesterday, we switched to T-mobile and got a pair of Moto c332 phones. I bought a USB -> mini USB cable for $15 at Radio shack, plugged the phone into the iBook, and after some trial and error for the script selection, set the modem to use the built- in '3Com Impact Analog 14.4" script in modem prefs, entered my PPP settings for using local earthlink dial- ups and it connected and maintained like a champ at about 14k. Not exactly like my fast DSL at home, but ideal for on- the- go email and even loads web pages surprisingly quickly. The tech person at T- mobile assured me it was not possible to use my particular phone as modem ;) Also, there are a plethora of phone phreaking sites that may help you. Contact me off- list if you like and I'll send you some bookmarks. dave 800MHz Dual USB, 12" Combo drive iBook 256MB/30GB/10.2.2 -- The iMac List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
