John, I guess your question is if the modems Apple uses in their products meet the requirements: To run in CIDTracker in server mode, a CID compatable modem. To run in client mode you need a seperate copy running in server mode or CallerID Sentry (in server mode) or ACID Server or YAC Server. This computer must have a supported modem that the CID server supports. Caller ID service from your local telephone company. Mac OS X 10.1.4 or higher Judging from the Apple specifications page, the modem is listed as a "56K V.90 modem (RJ-11 connector)". This seems to indicate that it is a generic modem. If modems have special features such as voice, CID, etc., they are normally noted. Of course, the modems Apple uses are FAX modems but are not noted as such in the spec sheet. I guess fax capability is generic now. Anyway, I can't find anything on my Flat Panel that tells me that the modem has CID capability; ASP doesn't even SHOW the modem. The only solution is to find out the manufacturer and model of the modem that Apple uses and contact them directly. Has anyone on the list gutted an FP iMac yet and take out the modem?
