Hello all,
I got board of the original, generic System 9.1 icons on my iMac 400mhz and have been trying to replace them with spicier icons using ResEdit. I replaced the original icon families with the new icon set in a copy of the System file, switched the system files, restarted the computer, and rebuilt the desktop file. Although some icons in various menus changed, the regular icons on the desktop in the finder did not. I rebuilt the desk top file again but still no effect. :-( What am I doing wrong? I assumed that changing the generic icon resources in the system file would change the generic icons throughout the computer, is this not so? Does anyone have any suggestions on how to make this work? Does anyone have a better idea for changing icons system wide? TIA Ed __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
