I should add that until yesterday, I was happily using Safari too, and I
continue using it as my main browser on my iMac. It has certainly not hurt
any of my computers /tmp-diretories at all.

On my iBook, however, I had this strange problem, that I suddently couldn't
start it. I tried several things like deleting the prefs file, deleting all
of my caches - it has a nasty tendency not to leave things in one place, but
all over the place, deleting my security- and keychain-plist as recommended
on the apple-support boards and deleting my history- and booksmarks-file.
But to no avail. ICab was humming along without problems. I decided to take
the final grand leap and reboot my ibook - it had only been running for 3-4
days, and that solved the problem, but left me without any bookmarks
anymore. It seems like a number of people have had that experience, and I
think it is what you should expect from a Beta-version, although iCab is
also called beta.

Now I use both iCab and Safari, but hold off on making too many bookmarks in
Safari before it has been updated quite a lot.

Cheers,

Kim
