As to my iMac, the monitor died in a puff of smoke and small stones yesterday (Saturday Jan 25) evening. iven the normal turn it back on things don't work and the memory battery still has lots of charge, suspect its probably the fly-back transformer for the video. That said the 350 Mhz slot-loading 6 gig iMac is just right for my needs. No doubt it might be better to upgrade if the cost of repair goes too high.
