You can replace the 128MB chip you probably have in there (I think the other 64 is hardwired to the MB and cannot be replaced) with a 256MB SO-DIMM. A quick check of prices showed that you'll pay around $50ish plus shipping (prices vary wildly and could change at any time though). I'll tell you now as someone who has done it multiple times: adding memory to an original iMac is a BEAR and I recommend you pay a Mac tech to do it for you. The machine must be almost completely disassembled. There are step by step, illustrated instructions on the web if you want to have at it, but a tech is the safer way to go. _Chas_ Come to ...
