AppleWorks was included with the iMac since the first iMac. And it still is with new iMacs, eMacs ans iBooks.

AW is not included with OS 9 that is sold separately.  AFAIK it is
included with iMacs at least, either on a separate CD or as part of
the System Restore.  I'm 99% certain it was included with the Indigo
iMacs.  I can check.
