isn't it the password you used the first time you set up your iMac when you bought it? but i guess if you forgot your password then the only option is to reinstall the os... but if you remember your password, restart your mac while pressing "shift", this will turn off your extensions, and then it will prompt you to input your password... then once you're in Finder, go to control panel, choose multiple user and turn multiple user off... i don' tknow if that would work though.... i'm not an expert myself but i've done a lot of tinkering with my iMac ever since I got it... sometimes, i think i spend more time fixing problems than really working on it and being productive... oh well... OS 10 has been good to me so far... the thing i love about os X is that it never EVER crashes on me , yet... knock on wood... OS 9.2.2 always crashes on me...
