Well, the native driver on my imac will not recognize
the os if any of it is past the 8 gig line. This is
only with the tray loading imacs I believe. I do know
it took me a couple days of trying over and over again
until I was told about the 8 gig limit. Since then, I
have been able to use X after setting the partition so
that the first 8 is in one partition. The problem with
that is, after installing, the installer concentrates
all apps/os software into that first partition.
Eventually, the partition will become full. Causing
problems down the road. I want to avoid that.
