Tina,

In addition to the clock, also make sure your time zone is set 
correctly. I had a problem a few years back where my  incoming messages 
were messed up like this because my time zone was about 5 hours off. 
The computer's clock displayed the correct time, but the computer 
thought I was in Europe or someplace due to the time zone. I forget 
exactly how it would work, but it had the effect of messing up the 
times.

I also sent test messages to myself that had the correct time stamp, 
because both the incoming and outgoing messages were seen as the same 
time zone.
