I can't answer you precisely. But I am an AOL
users with experience to pass on to you. I have two
user names at AOL. One, the official one, attracts
spam. The other one which I use for ordering on the
web is oddly enough spam-free.
I constructed an anti-spam list which AOL allows
you to do. (Go to keyword SPAM and follow the trail.)
It helped but it didn't eliminate all of it.
If you want to make a list of people who you want
to send you mail with everyone else barred from your
mailbox, you can do that at AOL. paulatwx's
instructions to this list are as folos:
'Keyword>Parental>(choose screen name)> edit E-mail
controls> Customize controls> then click on "Allow
e-mail from the listed AOL members, e-mail addresses,
and domains. Block e-mail from all others." The
software for AOL's browser is Netscape Gecko.

Lastly, just to relieve the press of mail in one
box I opened a couple of free webmail accounts � this
is one of them. I never see any spam here.
I don't think you can use your own spam programs
with AOL, as AOL's software just doesn't allow it.
