Obi Wan is correct. MacTracker list the memory for the 333 as 512 
(actual) 128 (Apple) reflecting the fact that there were no 256k 
SODIMM's when it was made. Two of those will max out your memory.

I do not know that 512K SODIMMS were ever offered?

Yup. We run 10.2.4. on a 350 iMac and it works just fine at 512K with 
Photoshop and a bunch of other apps.

If you are comfortable working inside your computer and you have the 
Apple manuals to follow it is not an unreasonable project for the 
technical inclined. If not take it to the local AASP.
