A colleague at work has been having problems with the imac in her classroom. It's the folder with the ? mark. The system restore cds from another imac does not work. I used apple care cd from a g4, that worked. Yesterday I tried to install system 9.2 but could not, I needed to update firmware. I tried to follow directions for this, which were not very clear ( in the manual and the cd) but was not successful. Today the computer starts but freezes. I tried to start with extensions off but pressing the shift key does not turn the extensions off. Any lister know what's going on here? Any help will be appreciated. TIA. Peter.
