Hello, Ive got a printing problem. This is the situation: My G3 333Mhz iMac running OS 9.2.2 is connected to a HP LaserJet 2100 series printer. When I try to print a webpage, the printer responds with a blinking light which means that the printer is receiving the data to be printed but after about 7 seconds, the light stops blinking and I get an error message on my iMac saying that "a connection to the printer has been made but the printer is currently not responding to queries".
I tried to turn the printer off and on and then tried printing again but to no avail. I also made sure that there were no other print jobs waiting by trashing them. A few days ago I consulted a book (Sad Macs, Bombs, and other Disasters 4th Ed.) and the book said "try zapping the PRAM" which I tried and it worked. So the solution which I see is to zap the PRAM before printing. The only issue now is : Why do I have to zap the PRAM before printing which would mean I would have to restart my iMac every time I print - which is not convenient. All I know is that this problem is something new and not normal. Thanks for your help and input (in advance). Eric -- -- The iMac List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
