*Bryce, if you can, try to get one of the closeout gumdrop iMacs. I *haven't heard ANYTHING good about the eMac; it seems to be the *biggest piece of garbage Apple has offered. Makes you wonder if it *was created by Bill Gates so that the education market would dump *Apple products. * *Dennis *
As I receive the iMac list as a digest and so far today Sunday March 23 nothing has dropped through the e-mail letter box, suspect my long essay will shake up a few people. The only thing I have going for me on the eMac is the large screen. Beyond that it has bee na pain. Being in canada doesn't help either, damn thing cost me almost C$2300 out the door by the time all the taxes and all were paid. Don't have that kind of money right now, I would like a G4 awith a large monitor but that just isn't happening. The main reason I got the emac, is everything is one box; the G4 with a seperate box/tower reminds me too much of a Prehistoric Computer with Windoze. And feel the gimbel mounted iMacs are simply a styling exercise gone mad. Figure they'll disappear one of these days, probably sooner than later.
