Hello,

This is my first post to this list.

I have an original iMac, using OS8.1. I don't know how else to describe
it other than "original", i.e., I bought it when the iMacs first came
out (1998?).

I also have a pc running Windows XP professional.

I am considering obtaining an Iomega HDD 40GB USB External Hard Drive,
which I understand is designed to work with macs "G4 or G3 (blue and
white G3 only) or iMac computer running OS 8.6 or above with USB 1.3.3".

Does my original iMac qualify? i.e., I understand that I would need
OS8.6, but is the USB in my original iMac v.1.3.3?

Also, if anyone has experience with these Iomega drives, I'd be happy to
hear about same.

Thank you.
