OT Universal remotes

I just replaced my 10 year old Pioneer A/V receiver with a new Denon 
unit. However, I feel that the old Pioneer remote was more versatile 
than the Denon remote. Has anyone here had experience with the 
Phillips Pronto or Sony RMAV3000 remotes? Please reply off list.
