Bill, If you don't have 10.2, I would advise getting it; there is a setting for "flat panel" in system preferences. The text is still not perfect, but it's much better than before. And once you realize it, the only reason we're comfortable with the text on our work computers is because of seeing it and taking it for granted for so long. If you look closely, it's pretty lousy.
