personally... I've had very few problems with sleeping any of my machines (and I'm responsible for several dozen). what few problems I've had have always turned out to be the drivers for some USB >> device.
Oh so we should all live with stock mac's and never add or delete anything so that all will be golden... I don't think so... It's probably the manufacture of the <enter your device driver of choice> thats at fault, but when we do add something and have a prob and then come on to a iMac forum thats supposed to be helpful, we instead get a terse reply scolding us for not listening to the "master" of the forum the 300 times before that he told us not to do something. Well maybe we haven't all read every reply about every prob because we get quite a bit of email every day and if the subject line doesn't concern or interest us we move on. So don't just assume we have read every little bit of news about every little bit of a subject and instead, be of some help without the attitude...
that's not what I'm saying at all. I'm saying that the device manufacturers need to do a better job writing their drivers. all sleep issues i've had to deal with were resolved with updated drivers from the manufacturer.
