Dear LEM Listers & LIst Mom,
I received today an email that I thought was suspicious, having the subject
line:
"WARNING! (3707652162)"
And a message with the following info/instructions:
"Check that the Subject of the reply message contains
" the confirmation ID: 3707652162,
This was discussed on another LEM list I subscribe to. The solution was to reply with just the number in the subject line, no parenthesis, no WARNING!, no quotes, not the words "confirmation ID".
Stan would just put 3707652162 in the subject line. This will make the messages go away, otherwise you will probably receive more.
I wish I had saved the email from the Max List on this subject as I could quote it to you. It involved quite a number of responses to get the precise subject line as the email directions are not clear. I did what I suggest here and I have not had any further problems.
A message to the list mom <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> might be in order here as well.
